Hello world! My name is Douglas Long, and I'm an endurance athlete who takes on what are considered the toughest events in the world. Currently I'm entered into both the Badwater Ultramarathon, and Furnace Creek 508 going for a Death Valley Cup. I want to take you along this journey, and what it's like having a full time job (military) and a full time family (amazing wife, and two wonderfull kids). Where it goes from here, who knows, but I do know it's going to be a hell of a ride.
